Christmas Gift Ideas: Mrs. Meyer's

by mamalaundry on December 11, 2009

I love to give and get “splurge gifts.”

They don’t have to be expensive – $5 or less will do.

They are things I wouldn’t usually buy for myself because they are considered a splurge item.    Like my favorite mascara, or yummy creamer or a new book.

Enter Mrs. Meyer’s.

At this point in my life, I cannot afford to consistently pay $7.99 for a bottle of laundry detergent that will only wash 32 loads.

But if there was ever going to be an exception to my frugal laundry budget, Mrs. Meyer’s would be it!

Mrs. Meyer’s helps retrain the brain to think that things don’t have to smell like Clorox to be clean.  Things can be extremely clean, yet smell like lavender, or lemon verbena, or the oh so Christmas-y Iowa Pine.

And the Iowa Pine is 25% off!

Do you have a person on your list that is hard to buy for?

Everyone loves clean.

While this isn’t a frugal item to purchase for one’s own use, I think it is a great <$10 splurge gift for someone special!

Need more frugal ideas?  Head on over to FishMama’s at Life as MOM.  There’s a plethora of great ideas!

(This is definitely not a paid endorsement for Mrs. Meyer’s, although I’d be very willing to write a great paid review for them!  They have fabulous products that would make great gifts.)

Mrs. Meyers is one of my favorites! I’m with you, I use it sparingly but it makes cleaning just a little more fun.
