It’s great to know how to fold a crib sheet and how to fold a crib mattress pad. But there are times when layering crib sheets is the best method.
If you have limited linen storage space or if you know you’re going to do multiple bed changes (stomach bug, anyone?), layering crib sheets might be your best bet.
It’s so simple. Please feel free to steal this idea and claim it as your own.
Do these steps in this order:
On the bare crib mattress, place your first crib mattress pad. Then put on your first crib sheet. This is probably your normal routine.
This is where things get fancy.
Next, put down another crib mattress pad and then another crib sheet. It should look like this:
Just complete the bedding above by pulling over the top fitted sheet.
Repeat as many times as you wish.
So the next time the baby wets all over the sheets in the middle of the night, your sheet changing experience will be so simple.
This definitely works for me.

This was my standard for the crib when my kids were (very) little. Midnight sheet changing is no fun – for mommy or baby – and I loved the added bonus of less sheets to fold!
I do this for my four year old that still has an occassional bed wetting accident. It saves on time and nerves in the middle of the night.
Great idea!
this is exactly what we do in the hospitals to take care of adults it only makes sense to do this for the little ones as well

Angie – Yes! I’m an RN. That’s where I stole the idea from!
Great idea! I have a 15 month old at home, and I will definitely try this!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Neat to meet someone local via blogging!! Your business looks like it fills a unique niche, and your website looks great! I’m impressed by your laundry expertise as laundry is not one of my strong suits. Having a toddler who loves to eat avocados and blueberries (and tends to get them all over her sleeves) has pushed the limits of my stain removal knowledge!!

Hey Amy!
It IS so neat to meet someone local!
Blueberries. Yikes. One word: Oxi-Clean.
It’s been the only thing that I can find to take out blueberries and that is after extensive soaking. There’s a reason they used that back in the day as a dye, huh?
I so could have used this advice last week. My 7 month old woke up in the middle of the night. I thought it might help him go back to sleep if I changed his diaper and I thought it would keep him from waking up more if I just did it in the crib. Bad idea! As soon as I took the diaper off, he peed everywhere! Sheets came off and we went straight to the bathtub. I didn’t feel like making his bed up again so he ended up spending the night in our bed.
Thanks for the great tip! I’ll be stacking his crib tomorrow morning!!!

Oh I’ve had so many nights like that: changing sheets, bathing babies in the night, etc. It’s craziness, isn’t it??
Hope this idea helps you! It definitely has helped our family!

That’s such a great idea. I never would have thought of it.
