Laundry Detergent Deals for June 19–25, 2011

by mamalaundry on June 19, 2011

Have you noticed how there are fewer and fewer laundry deals each week?  It’s not just laundry – it’s groceries in general.  It seems that the deals become more sparse each time I type the laundry deals. I expect this to last at least through the summer, so stockpile detergent and other laundry products while you can get them at fairly reasonable prices with a coupon and sale.

It’s never un-wise to stockpile laundry detergent.  It never gets old or goes rancid.  If you must get rid of your stockpile for some reason (ie: cross country move or similar), people will gladly take it off of your hands.  Laundry detergent will never go to waste, so that always makes it a smart buy.

Agreed on the lack of deals right now! I was just noticing that yesterday and today as I came up with our shopping lists. It just keeps pushing me in the direction of learning to make more and more things from scratch so as to keep our grocery costs as low as possible. In fact, I just learned yesterday how to make a good biscuit from scratch, something that felt impossible to me! :-D My detergent stockpile is almost gone, so I’m praying at least one good deal comes up in the next few weeks.

Congrats on the good biscuit! That is definitely a talent. ;) I make okay biscuits…not like my grandma’s yet.

I’m like you – the lack of deals is making me get a little more creative and necessitates me figuring out how to do more on my own. That’s not a bad thing at all! I just need more hours in my day to learn them.

Ahh….grandma’s biscuits….nope, mine are no where near that degree of greatness. ;-D I remember a few years before my grandma passed away I asked her what made her biscuits so wonderful. She said, “Well, I guess for anything you have to do twice a day, every day, for the last sixty years, you’d eventually get great at it or just stop doing.” She didn’t have the option to stop making them, so I guess she had to get great at it! I just keep telling myself “practice makes progress”. Agreed on needing more hours to learn!

Cathy, which coupons are you looking to print? The coupons in red are found in the Sunday paper. If the coupon is linked (hyperlinked with blue underneath), you can click on them to go to a different site and print the coupon.
