So this is the scene in my girls’ room for the past 5 days. Yes, 5 days. I obviously am not a person who is allowed to store clean clothes in a laundry basket because they will never be put away.
I’m off of my laundry game with my husband’s birthday and Mother’s Day this weekend. All of those involve quite a bit of prep work and I’ve just fallen behind since we’re out of our normal routine.
We all fall behind at some point though, right? Not just in laundry or housekeeping but in other aspects of life too. No matter how great you have something nailed down, events happen that throw a kink in our well laid plans.
The Solution
When it comes to laundry, make sure you have a laundry routine in place. Then when you’re thrown curveballs that send you into laundry chaos, you can just get back to your routine and plug away until the task is finished.
That’s the joy of a laundry routine: you don’t have to re-invent the wheel every time. You just go to your routine and get to work.
It’s so freeing.
This is true for your laundry routine and a million other facets of life too. So if you’re laundry routine is way off track, pick a starting point and get moving. Work hard and be content that you’ve done the best job you can do.
Are you having trouble getting your laundry routine going? Leave your issue in the comments and I’ll help you troubleshoot.
