I love laundry. I really do.
There is something so fulfilling about having a huge pile of dirty clothes that miraculously becomes clean by the end of the day.
Washing laundry provides such a sense of accomplishment – slowly and methodically working your way through a task.
And at the end, you have empty laundry baskets and a clean laundry room to show for it!
Are you looking for small ways you can bless your family in this coming year? Are you sometimes struggling to find a sense of purpose during your day?
While in the thick of staying at home with lots of little people, I can often become discouraged. My house isn’t straight (or clean!), I can’t seem to keep up, I once again haven’t gotten enough sleep…you know the scenario all too well.
But I can choose to bless them. I can choose today to use one task to provide for my family’s needs.
Often for me, that task is laundry.
But it runs much deeper than clean clothes: God has allowed me to stay home to help my husband and nurture my sweet babies. I shouldn’t dare take it for granted, even though I shamefully do on occasion.
If I can change my thinking the course of our day can change. Ah, that’s the key: to change my thinking.
And it can all start with one little load of laundry.
What can you do to bless your family in the coming year?
I challenge you to think of a small way you can bless your family. Whether you are a mom that works outside the home or a stay at home mom, we can all find small ways to make our family life run smoother.
Take some time to reflect today on how you can make that happen.
I’d love to hear the simple, thoughtful ways you take care of your families. Feel free to leave a comment!
