Well, it’s Monday.
I love laundry…but the laundry overflows (yes, even at Mama Laundry’s house!) every single Monday morning. It can get old. And overwhelming.
And some Mondays I’m a little more tired than usual and I need some encouragement. A little inspiration to get moving on rolling the laundry.
So I created my little Laundry Bulletin Board:
It is the home to many things: extra button packets, my quickie stain removal guide, receipts that we need to keep, my son’s famous index card drawings that always end up in his pockets.
But it is also home to a few very important reminders: pictures of my husband and my kiddos and also one of my favorite Bible verses.
Some days I need to see a picture of my lovelies so I can remember why I am trying to work through this mountain of laundry craziness. I need to see their sweet, smiling faces and remember that it is an enormous privilege to provide their basic needs. I need to see my husband’s face because it triggers me to think about how thrilled he is when he sees all of his white t-shirts clean in the drawer and declares that the “Laundry Fairy” has been.
And my Bible verse is there to remind me that the Lord cares for me in all of my struggles, even in something as mundane and ‘every day’ as laundry. I’m so grateful He’s interested in everything I do, whether it is something grandiose or just another daily chore.
We all need a little pick-me-up from time to time. A little inspiration to keep on keeping on. I use my bulletin board as a great reminder of how clean clothes can bless my family.
Do you ever need a little laundry inspriration? What do you do or use?

You know, I put up a cork board in the laundry room for that exact purpose. Right now, there’s so many school reminders all over it, you can’t even tell it’s a cork board. I should clean that up this week. It’ll be good to re-find that inspiration.

What a great idea! I don’t really have a place to hang something like this in my laundry room but I’ll have to have a good look while I’m doing laundry. For laundry inspiration I come HERE! Have a great day!

Love it!
My inspiration is the fact that I need clean underware…. and that is about as far as it goes.
Maybe I should try the bulletin board?
Clean underwear – I love it. 🙂
As my Grandma would say: And then there’s that.
I’m so happy to know I am not the only one with a husband who thanks the “Laundry Fairies” when he opens his drawer and finds a stack of clean white t-shirts!! You’ve made my day! 🙂 Blessings!

Honestly, your love of laundry is an inspiration! I’m definitely not in love with it yet, but it is so nice to have plenty of clean clothes in the drawers.

Very kind, Nony. Thanks 🙂
I really really really do not like laundry but this almost makes me want to make an inspiration board and fold some of my stray towels.
My hubby seriously thinks he’s hit the jackpot if he can find socks in the morning.
What a sweet way to stay focused! It’s always great to know how to lift your spirits!

I really love this post. I often have a not very gracious attitude about laundry– this is very very applicable for my life!
So glad you linked up at Remodeling This Life!

Oh admittedly mine isn’t so hot sometimes too…hence the board!
🙂
The LORD knew I needed to visit your blog today. I was not having a good attitude about my laundry at all. I try to remember to do it joyfully and as though unto the LORD but it gets hard some days. LOVE your idea of the laundry bulletin board. Have a blessed weekend!

Oh it’s not just you 🙂 We ALL have trouble some days with our attitudes about laundry. My attitude seems to be the worst when I’ve let it pile up and I’m drowning in it. And then I’m scurrying around doing laundry all day when I should be doing other things!
I’m so glad He sent you here! And I’m thrilled you were blessed. 🙂
Thanks for commenting!
