I guess all of the bloggers in the big ol’ blogosphere are thinking back on the past year and pondering the quickly approaching 2010. Since I am not one to be left out, here are a few fabulous things that occurred in my life in 2009.
My family had a few big events in 2009, but the one most dear to this Mama’s heart is the birth of my Sweet Sadie Grace in April. My husband and I say all the time, “She is just a sweet, sweet baby…”. And that she is. Sadie is a laid back, happy, smile-y girl. I’m so privileged to be her Mama.
I am certain she will be the peacemaker in this crowd!
In June of this year, I finally resigned from my job as an RN. I prayed since I became pregnant with my first baby that I could stay home full-time. And that dream finally became a reality this year! Proof that God’s timing is definitely not mine!
Who wouldn’t want to stay home with these fine young people all of the time?!
In August, Brian and I celebrated 7 years of marriage. He’s the best man I know. I told him the night before we were married that I was honored to be his wife. I am even more honored today that I was 7 years ago.
Throughout the summer I pondered what I could do from home that would put a dent in our bank account. My thoughts and ideas always seemed to come back to laundry in some fashion.
After much hard work and research, Mama’s Mobile Laundry Service was started in October! It has been a lot of early mornings and late nights, and so far I would consider it a success. I never in a million years would have dreamed I would be a business owner, but here I am! The learning curve, like everything else in life, has been steep. But at least it has been interesting!
In November, I took the plunge and started Mama’s Laundry Talk! I love this little blog of mine. Again, this learning curve is really steep but I’m loving it so far! I have several goals for this blog that I’ll post on Monday along with the other Savvy Blogging girls.
Celebrating the birth of Christ is always one of the most exciting things my family does. This year I am sad to say, I got too busy and that really took my focus off of Who is really important. I will never, ever make that mistake again. Ever.
Despite my busyness, Christmas was a great time for our family and celebrating Jesus’ birth.
I’m looking so forward to 2010. I have big goals and dreams for this next year and I can’t wait to see how it will all unfold. I’m so grateful God chose to bless my family as He did!
