Our current house doesn’t have a linen closet. So what do you do with towels and sheets when there is no place to store them?
My handy husband installed some fabulous wire shelving in our itty bitty laundry room. And I love them (and him!).
But the best part about these shelves? You can hang an S-hook from them.
Oh the possibilities!
I hang so many things from them: ladies’ undergarments, little girl tights, pantyhose, the lone sock that got left in the washer, and bathing suits just to name a few.
And they are incredibly cheap. Hubby bought 4 for less than $2.
But the savings go on from here. The more items that aren’t exposed to dryer heat, the better.
Lingerie and delicate items hate dryer heat – it ruins their elastic over time. If you don’t put them in the dryer, you buy them less frequently.
It costs me $0.60 each time I run my dryer for an hour. That adds up in a huge way on our power bill, so I am cautious as to how often and how long I run my dryer. Anytime I can hang something to dry without turning my dryer on, I save a little bit of money. Which is a win!
