My mother was the most beautiful woman I ever saw. All I am I owe to my mother. I attribute all my success in life to the moral, intellectual and physical education I received from her.

Mother’s Day will be here in just a few short weeks! Do you have a mama that loves laundry? Or a mom that needs some encouragement to like laundry? Consider a Mother’s Day Laundry Gift!
Here are a few suggestions, all for $20 or less. Note: If it is an item that requires shipping, the shipping costs are not included in the $20 cap.
- Specialty Laundry Detergent
Lots of moms have a hard time buying ‘nice’ things for themselves. Splurge for her and buy a bottle of specialty laundry detergent. Mrs. Meyer’s and Caldrea both sell dreamy-smelling bottles of detergent or fabric softener for less than $20. - Laundry: The Home Comforts Book of Caring for Clothes and Linen by Cheryl Mendelson
Cheryl Mendelson is the guru of all things home, including laundry. Right now Amazon has this book at a ‘bargain price’ of only $10! And it’s available for Prime Shipping! Now that is a deal. - Visit Etsy
There’s so much to choose from on Etsy! You could spend hours looking at beautifully handcrafted goodies. When shopping for your mom, you can choose from whimsical laundry room artwork, to clothespins that rock, to reusable dryer bags. - Laundry Note Cards
These baby laundry note cards are nothing but super cute! They would be a perfect Mother’s Day gift for a new mom who still has a few thank you notes to write! And yes, they are $4 over the $20 limit…but they really are just that adorable. - An Apron
Every mom needs a good apron! Even if she’s a mom that doesn’t enjoy being in the kitchen, a good apron will inspire her. Aprons are lots of fun, but completely practical in keeping clothes stain-free as well.
Don’t get me wrong: Mother’s Day is totally not about gifts or worrying about what to get mothers or mothers in law. These are just a few ideas if you are one that buys a gift and you need some fresh ideas.
Don’t lose sight of the real reason we celebrate Mother’s Day. In fact, don’t delay. Call your mom today and tell her how much you love her and what she means to you. We don’t need a holiday to tell the most special people in our lives how much they are truly loved!
My own mother? Mama’s Mama?
There’s none like her. I could never ask for a more thoughtful, loving, devoted, genuine, helpful, prayerful example. I am truly grateful for her every day.

Hmmmm. My initial reaction is that laundry gifts make much better “just because” gifts than Mother’s Day gifts–but those aprons are so adorable! And Mrs. Meyer’s is such a special splurge! And those notecards are darling! And I can’t say enough nice things about Home Comforts.
All of which is to say–super list!
Thanks, Anne! Those note cards are my favorite. Too cute.
